More of Chihuly's wonderful Reeds. These were also installed outside in a courtyard. The vibrant blue really pops against the white of the snow.

Love, love, love these reeds! They are so vibrant and magical in person. The glassblower had to stand on a mechanical lift that was raised upwards when he was blowing the glass while another glassblower pulled from below. Wow!

Chihuly first came upon this idea when he was working on his venice project in 1995. He has revisited this boat idea in different worldwide exhibitions. I am drawn to it for the color and the shapes. I also recognised the concept from the venice project, which is my favorite of his work.
